Historical Dues and Maintenance Fees for Disney Vacation Club Resorts
Every DVC Member and contract is required to pay annual maintenance fees, taxes, etc for the resort, collectively referred to as “annual dues”. This covers all of the operational expenses for the resort: Things like maintenance, refurbs, upgrades, taxes, insurance, employee salaries, security etc.
The annual dues are an important component to consider when buying into Disney Vacation Club as these are required and must be paid every year. If a member fails to pay their dues, Disney can suspend their ability to use their points and eventually put a lien on the points and foreclose.
Dues are usually announced in November or early December for the following year. There are two payment options:
- Pay the entire amount in full. Payment is due on January 15th and is considered late and incurs penalties after February 15th. This can be paid by Credit Card, check, or bank withdrawal. At the time of this writing, there is not an additional fee for paying by Credit Card.
- Set up a monthly recurring bank withdrawal to spread the dues out over 12 months. This must be setup in January and your payment will be split across 12 monthly payments. At the time of this writing, there is not any additional fee or charge to use the payment plan.
Dues are represented as an annual cost per point in the table below. As an example Saratoga Springs is $7.86 per point for 2023. So if you have a 100 point contract, your total would be $786 for the year, or $65.50.
