DVC Search – Historical point charts for all Disney Resorts
Below are all the historical dues for all of the Disney Vacation Club Resorts. The value of sharing and making all of these accessible is to highlight one of the biggest advantages of buying DVC Resale or Direct: DVC is an EXCELLENT way to protect yourself against inflation of Disney room rates.
Here’s an example of how you could think about it: In the past 10 years, the price of renting a room at Grand Floridian direct from Disney has increased by over 50%!
Also, while renting DVC points is a lower cost option than booking a direct stay, even the price of RENTING DVC points has increased by over 50% in the past 10 years. In 2013, you could rent points for about $14/point. Today, renting points costs $21 – $23 per point.
On the flip side, when you own a DVC contract, you can be assured that roughly the same number of points it took for you to have a stay in 2013 is the same for a similar stay today, and it will be the same for the same stay the next several decades. The reason for this is that DVC contracts are deeded real estate interests and the total number of points for all rooms for a 365 day year must be the same. So, it is possible that DVC could choose to shift the point cost around within a resort, or make some nights cost more year to year, but they must make an offsetting change at the same resort. For example, if DVC decided to make Christmas week cost more points per night, they would need to make other nights during the year less expensive so the total number of points is the same year to year.
